Have you seen the Weedmobile?

We at LA JEMM just heard about it this morning. Apparently the Weedmobile is the latest public interest/self-promotion scheme of the NJWeedman, aka Ed Forchion.

It seems the Weedmobile (which Mr. Forchion describes as his “marijuana temple car”) cruises the streets of Hollywood, blasting Bob Marley and – most importantly – offering GIVEAWAYS. I’ll repeat: GIVEAWAYS. I’d suggest stalking the Weedmobile at your earliest opportunity. Follow it through L.A., and also on Twitter at twitter.com/weedmobil.

This morning we received an email from David Thergood Jr., director and producer of “The Hemp Nation.” David and company have posted their video coverage of HempCon 2010 on MySpace! Check it out: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=103245809.

Clocking in at exactly 4 minutes and 20 seconds, the video has already racked up more than 50,000 hits. It also stars our beloved friend and MMJ celebrity Henry Hemp, features the 420 nurses, and does a fine job overall of capturing the upbeat mood of L.A.’s first annual medical marijuana convention.

Thumbs-up to medical marijuana

“When it comes to medical marijuana, I have more of a practical view than anything else. I mean, my attitude is that if it’s an issue of doctors prescribing medical marijuana as a treatment for glaucoma or as a cancer treatment, I think that should be appropriate because there really is no difference between that and a doctor prescribing morphine or anything else.

I think there are legitimate concerns in not wanting to allow people to grow their own or start setting up mom and pop shops, because at that point it becomes fairly difficult to regulate.

… I think the basic concept that using medical marijuana in the same way with the same controls as other drugs prescribed by doctors, I think that’s entirely appropriate.”
