This just in: Undead international cult icon Count Smokula will perform at LA JEMM’s Medical Marijuana Awareness Expo on April 18!

Count Smokula was born 496 years ago in Smokesylvania’s Shmear Province. A bout with the Blue Plague at age 11 left the Count with lifelong ailments including “an unnatural craving for blues music, which he needs to hear constantly or he reverts to a near catatonic state.”

The Count recovered from his childhood trauma to become a cult (or is that occult?) icon, performer, and emcee. Also known as the “King of Fantasy” and the “Rockabilly Vampire,” the singer-songwriter, comedian, and multi-instrumentalist hosts Hollywood’s “Count Smokula Show.” An inductee into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, Count Smokula has appeared on E!, CNN, UPN’s “Blind Date,” and Fox TV’s “30 Seconds of Fame.” In 2003 the Count won Best Comedy Album of the Year for his album Authentic Sounds of Smokesylvania.

Other acts scheduled to perform at the Expo: Anthony Aquarius Mystery, KK Holliday, Paint It Black, and Gena Mason. Also, State Senate hopeful Adrian Galysh will speak on medical marijuana and other campaign issues. Stay tuned for more lineup alerts!
