This just in, from Americans for Safe Access:
“The Los Angeles City Council vote on fees for the medical cannabis ordinance has been rescheduled to Tuesday, April 13. Once the fees are approved, the clock will start ticking towards the effective date of the toughest medical cannabis regulations in the state. These regulations will force most of the city’s patients’ associations to close.
“There is still a lot of work to be done to make the ordinance workable for patients in LA. Can you take a moment to contact your representative on the Los Angeles City Council before Tuesday and let them know this important work is not finished? Ask your representative to let legal collectives with no neighborhood complaints stay where they are. Get contact information and details at:
Tuesday’s City Council meeting starts at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 13, and takes place at City Hall, 200 N. Spring St. @ Temple St., Room 340. If you’d like to attend, arrive early to fill out a card that will allow you to address the Council during the public comments portion of the meeting.
