The L.A. City Council voted last Tuesday to close most dispensaries and try to get the total number down to 70. In Los Angeles, that’s about one dispensary for every half million people. surely that’s plenty. Patients can camp out in front of the dispensary and take a number so they can get their medicine before 5 PM. And every dispensary will sell a million dollars of medicine every day, but can’t make a profit, because the city is spending millions of dollars to police the industry.

But the vote isn’t finalized til next Tuesday, so stay tuned. And stay tuned for the legal battles as all the closed dispensaries align to sue the city for discrimination. With the delays in courts, by the time they actually get closed down, marijuana might be legal. So it’s still the wild wild west here in marijuana land . . .
